This picture was taken on March 29, 2009 at the Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia (I suggest you read this post, it was one of the most popular on the travel blog!)   While we struggled a little bit with our tour, we also appreciated just how amazing the scenery was.  Salt flats are spectacular, I’ve had a strange fascination with them since the first time I visited one (in 2000 on a school trip to Tunisia).
