Our next stop on our summer trip was the Loire Valley. Just a day. I was incredibly sick. But it was as beautiful as I remembered. Chambord. Chenoceau. Little car. Amazing day.

Yesterday we went to Carcassonne, I had never been before and it was pretty amazing. However, I was disappointed to learn that Carcassonne is a bit like Disneyland (albeit a really old Disneyland), reconstructed under the watchful eye of the detail oriented Eugène Viollet-le-Duc in 1853.
It’s been a whirlwind of an adventure through Paris, the Loire Valley and just yesterday, we arrived in the south of France at the Chateau Ventenac. Now that we’ve settled in the Chateau for a week, I’m going to get writing again – so you can expect a handful of posts this and next week!
